Gibson Les Paul Music City Special 50th Anniversary Electric Guitar - Tobacco Burst (New)
The Les Paul™ Music City Special – 50th Anniversary is an updated, modern twist on twoÂ
historical Gibson models, taking much of its inspiration from the 70s-era Marauder thatÂ
was designed by Bill Lawrence, with a touch of the Music City Jr. in its DNA. Over theÂ
years, the Marauder has been used by artists from Adam Jones to Paul Stanley. ThisÂ
unique commemorative model pays tribute to the early days of Gibson’s NashvilleÂ
production and celebrates Gibson’s 50 years of producing world-class guitars in MusicÂ
City while delivering outstanding value to modern players. The lightweight, contouredÂ
body is solid poplar. The maple neck has a fast-playing and comfortable SlimTaper™Â
profile and is equipped with a striped ebony fretboard that is adorned with acrylic dotÂ
inlays and outfitted with 22 medium jumbo frets. The 12” fretboard radius makesÂ
first-position chords and string bends higher up the fretboard equally effortless. TheÂ
hardware is chrome-plated, including the Nashville Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners, and output jack plate cover. A black 5-plyÂ
pickguard holds two Gibson 70s Tribute humbucker™ pickups, which are wired to anÂ
intuitive and comfortable control layout consisting of master volume and master toneÂ
controls with black Top Hat knobs and a three-way pickup selector toggle switch. AÂ
premium soft shell case is included to keep the Les Paul Music City Special - 50thÂ
Anniversary safe when stored or in transport. The Les Paul Music City Special - 50thÂ
Anniversary is available in Ebony, Wine Red, and Tobacco Burst gloss nitrocelluloseÂ
lacquer finishes, and each has a commemorative 50th Anniversary truss rod cover. TheÂ
Les Paul Music City Special - 50th Anniversary model is limited to only 500 instruments inÂ
each of the three colors, so make sure you get your favorite while you still can!
